TSG induction pack case study

the brief

Islington council's IT Department (TSG) had a problem. They employ consultants on a short term basis and needed a central resource to quickly introduce them to the department, its function within the council, the senior members of staff and, of course, all the necessary policies and procedures. Their existing induction material was a 120 page document. Without pictures. They asked us to conceive of a user friendly solution.

the solution

We responded by involving the whole department to produce an innovative CD-ROM integrating animation, interactive video and documentation. It was designed to be informative but, equally importantly, charming and welcoming introduction to the department and the people within it. It is now a central tool in the department's induction process and has lead to the creation of a series of other induction packs in the council.
